Leadership and Opportunities
The March newsletter reintroduces the 2025–2026 Board of Directors, with Jennifer Stanley continuing as President. Members are encouraged to get involved by filling leadership roles such as Vice President, Membership Co-Chair, Retention Chair, and Sponsorship Chair, or by contributing to projects, events, and advocacy efforts. Board meetings are held on the second Friday of each month, providing consistent opportunities for engagement.
Upcoming Events
Education Revolution 2025 has been rescheduled to April 16 at Vouv Dallas. This all-day event will deliver up to five CE credits and feature Jason Dixon of Trinity Captive on segregated group medical stop loss, Jennifer Stanley presenting on the intersection of Medicare and group health plans, and Neil McNeil leading a three-hour ethics session. Commissioner Mulready of Oklahoma will also provide NAIC updates and insights on Insure OK, and Healthee will sponsor a lunchtime demonstration with Amanda Volner.
Members are also invited to the NABIP-FW Annual Golf Tournament on April 2 at Texas Rangers Golf Club. The event supports Gill Children’s Services in Fort Worth and combines sport, networking, and community impact. The Golf Tournament coincides with the NABIP Fort Worth Sales Symposium, which will bring agents together for sessions on the Senior Market, individual sales, and group health insurance.
Looking ahead nationally, members can join NABIP’s 2025 Annual Convention in Miami, June 28 to July 1. The convention promises an energizing blend of learning, networking, and leisure, including leadership sessions, an exhibit hall of cutting-edge solutions, and time to connect with peers in a dynamic environment. Additional major gatherings include the Texas Annual Conference and Medicarians 2025.
Professional Development and Industry News
NABIP’s Weekly Insider section introduces two upcoming certification courses. On April 23, Annette Bechtold and Mark Mixer will lead the ICHRA Certification, offering tools to help brokers advise employers on tax-free reimbursement strategies. On May 6, Tom Wittick and Woody Waters will present the Reference-Based Pricing Certification, which explores how employers can control healthcare costs using benchmark-based reimbursement models.
The Spring 2025 issue of bip Magazine is also now available, featuring trends, strategies, and advocacy shaping the future of healthcare and benefits. Members are encouraged to read it and consider advertising opportunities to reach industry leaders.
Advocacy and PAC Efforts
The NABIP-TX PAC remains central to advocacy efforts, supporting legislative candidates who align with healthcare solutions that expand affordability and consumer access. Members are encouraged to contribute monthly or via one-time donations to sustain the PAC’s efforts.
Member Spotlight
This month spotlights Meghann High, Founder and President of Inspire Benefit Consultants. Meghann, also Legislative Chair of NABIP-Dallas, was featured on Andy Neary’s Accelerate Your Insurance Sales podcast, where she shared insights on growing an agency while balancing family life. Her story highlights leadership, professional growth, and personal resilience.
Washington Update
The national update includes a range of timely developments. Members are encouraged to follow the Trump Administration Tracker, note the RFK Jr. nomination hearing, and consider NABIP’s bipartisan positioning. Policy items include Virginia’s progress on a transparency bill, debates on Medicaid expansion in Montana, and compliance preparation for the Affordable Care Act in 2025. A replay of the Compliance Corner webinar is available for members looking to stay ahead of ACA requirements, and PAC updates continue to show the importance of member involvement in shaping federal policy.

The NABIP Resource Hub continues to provide an array of free guides, reports, and white papers. This issue’s featured resource once again emphasizes Section 105 Medical Reimbursement Plans, which offer tax-saving strategies for healthcare funding. Locally, NABIP-Dallas luncheons take place at Vouv Dallas on the third Wednesday of each month (excluding December), with new members invited to attend their first luncheon at no cost. The Lone Star Virtual Chapter also provides free CE webinars, expanding educational access statewide.
